I've been going to speech therapy for a few weeks and yesterday I stuttered more in front of the therapist than I have to anybody in a long time. I'm a covert stutterer. I know that it's very much psychological, but how can you feel more comfortable by "coming out". I've tried to hide it my whole life (I'm 43) and even though it's a huge weight on my shoulders, I think I'd rather hide it. It's very confusing.
