I agree with you that some of the time - perhaps even MOST of the time - covert stutterers have it harder than we overt stutterers. Even though they may be more fluent than we are, they pay an ENORMOUS price in emotional baggage! I don't even think I'd want to change places with any of them. Too much pain involved...
