Steve, great paper. I am a student clinician and I found your article to be very informative. I have had a few clients who stutter and I have found that it therapy was more effective when I used Fluency Shaping in conjunction with Stuttering Modification. I believe that it is very important to address the client's feelings and attitudes about stuttering and do not believe that stuttering is just the outward dysfluency of speech. I found your paper to be informative and I enjoyed the way in which it simplified stuttering therapy. However, I have found that such therapies were easier said than done. As a future Speech- Language Pathologist I welcome your advice in addressing stuttering therapy.
