Hello folks---

In the portion of ISAD where they have the panel of professors responding to comments and questions there has been a theme pertaining to the "fear" of treating people who stutter. This refers to the clinician's fear, not the client's fear.

This fear topic is related to some of my beliefs about desirable outcomes, and pertains to the importance of the clinician being a good guide and role model on the therapy journey.

You might be interested in the comments I made on this topic on the panel of professors, back at the beginning of all these contributions.

This is listed under a major heading about "the fear of treating people who stutter." It is about the 70th posted comment, so scroll down and you will find it.

Cheers to all,

Steve Hood
