Hi John,
I read your excellent piece a while ago and have been meaning to respond - late as always!
Both you and Sharon give a wonderful insight into what it takes to raise a child with special needs and at the same time cope with a stutter and all the pitfalls that go with that challenging situation. At the risk of embarrassing you ;-)Mattie clearly has two very loving parents which I'm sure makes all the difference in the world to his development.
Our neighbour's child also suffers from autism, so Chris and I have a good idea about the kinds of day to day problems that parents with an autistic child have to cope with.
Congrats again on the paper - easily one of the best this year!
