Thank you for sharing this educational article. As a first year Speech & Language Pathology student I feel that your information on the importance of eye contact for the person who stutters is very helpful, and I plan to use this information when I encounter a client who stutters. I recently attended a stuttering therapy session and the topic of discussion was eye contact. One of the participants told the group that the best way for him to finish a word he is having difficulty with is to look straight into the eyes of the listener. I hope that many will read this article and benefit at I have. Thank you!
