I wanted to comment that I really enjoyed your article about eye contact and stuttering. We've always learned how important it is to obtain eye contact with your listeners, yet this is something that stutterers must struggle with during everyday conversations.

The verbatim interview with the attorney in this article really brought everything into perspective for me because I've never really sat down and thought about the actual reason why eye contact is avoided. Who knew that all of these emotions could be going through the stutterer's mind when trying to speak? Do you feel that in most cases that eye contact aversion IS related to self-esteem issues?

Thank you again for writing such an informative and thought-provoking article.
