I thought this was an excellent paper. I was especially impressed with the experiment used to enlighten the stutterer on how he is actually presenting himself when he avoids eye contact. As I was reading, I thought about encounters I have had with persons who stutter, and I did look away from them, thinking I was helping them and not realizing the impact I may have had by appearing to not be interested in what they were saying. This paper as well as so many others on the conference really clarify and give new clinicians such as myself a whole new perspective on stuttering and some great intervention techniques. Thanks
