Tim, I have always had strong opinions about eye contact and social pragmatics. The lack of social language is sometimes underscored by parents and clients. Realizing the disassociation it creates may help the PWS realize the importance of it. Your 41 year-old attorney shared his feelings of inadequacy that he asscociates with eye contact during stuttering. My question is do other secondary characteristics diminish when the client comes to terms with his own speech? Are they as "voluntary" as eye contact? Thank you, Irene
