Walt,

Another astounding tour de force!

You are quite correct to state that humor inserts a distance between “awfulizing” and reality.

I hope you do have a website where we can access all the humor examples that involves stuttering and humor.

Albert Ellis managed at his 90th birthday party to insert a couple humorous comments, but after a colon surgery a week before, he was a little bit more irritable.

With appreciation,

Gunars

p.s. You are the example of a self-actualizing person who has stuttered. One of these days, I promise, if I fail to solve my riddle I will ask for your help. Lol. But are you following the Women’s World Cup? You told me your knees gave out, but soccer is still one of the joys in the world I have had.

p.p.s. If you were having such a good time on our earth, how can find so much time to do such good work. As for me, I am learning neuropsychology and next semester neurology, in order to understand things.

Finally a question : I think with the proper counseling, inserting distance (humor) there does not have to be significant struggling, tenseness, anxiety, and urgency in anyone’s speech?
