Mr. Manning, Thank you for your article on humor. There were many aspects of this topic that I have never really thought about such as the internal locus of control and being able to use humor affectively with therapy. I was amazed to see the research that his been done in this area. I think humor is vital for the human condition. I agree with you in the fact that our personality and how we view life can create change for people who do suffer or are going through something difficult such as being a stutterer. I hope that as a graduate clinician, I can utilize this aspect into my therapy. I think we as clinicians should know when to incorporate these tactics into therapy and create a balance that is suitable for our clients. Desensitization is such an important factor to helping people who stutter and this is just another technique that can help that process. I really enjoyed your article. Francesca Bonasso
