Thank you-I really appreciated reading the article as well as the comments. As a new student clinician, I have encountered situations in therapy sessions when I am not always sure if/when humor is appropriate. It was especially difficult to use humor in the beginning when I was first introduced to the clients, but now it is much easier. Thanks for the advice about taking the cue from the client-I will always keep that with me.
