I really enjoyed reading this paper. I am a graduate student in Speech-Language Pathology, and I think that it is great how you made stuttering therapy sound like such a positive thing. I am aware that many SLPs are afraid to work with people who stutter, but this paper was encouraging and increased my desire to get out there and do it. I like that you have opened this discussion on using humor in therapy. When used appropriately and at the right times, as you said, I think it can be healing and helpful in changing attitudes. We are using your text in my class and I'm enjoying reading it too, as I did this paper. Thanks again for such great insights.
