It seems so obvious that humor and laughter should play a role in therapy sessions of all kinds. However, I can see how it might be hard to get the clients to focus on the lighter side of thier problems. This article has helped me to realize that so many emotions need to be considered during the therapy sessions. As a therapist I do not need to force humor on the clients. However, giving the stutterer a different view on his or her daily stuggle might open up the healing process for thier self-esteem.
