Mandi, Temperamental sensitivity is a factor that I investigate using my Parent Perception Scale (PPS) and Temperament Characteristics Scale (TCS) with case history information to include in the diagnostic profile. This information does influence the enrollment decision. Also, it has been found that appropriate treatment at a young age (as close to onset of stuttering as possible) is preferable for CWS. In my clinical experience, I have found that skillful treatment at a young age can make the difference between recovery and chronic stuttering in children.
