Well, these days I am a researcher rather than a clinician. But if I were to start treating preschoolers again tomorrow, I would use the Lidcombe Program. Of course, I am somewhat partial here, as I have been researching this treatment with my colleagues for some years now. But I would choose it because (1) the procedures are described clearly in the treatment Manual (downloadable from the website of the Australian Stuttering Research Centre), and (2) it is supported by considerable scientific evidence.
