Yes, this is indeed a controversial area. I don’t think, though, that I will be able to answer your question to your satisfaction. My personal position is that decisions about when to intervene with preschoolers, and with what treatment, should be evidence-based. This means that available evidence is taken into account in the decision-making process. There are no scientific studies of the outcome of the Multiprocess approach, or of its effects on speech, language and social development.
