here is my question... How often do you find that once you have explained to the parents of a preschooler their options regarding waiting for a year and monitoring their child, that they are receptive to that idea of waiting and having their child possibly develop feelings over that time frame as well as the stuttering developing more? Or are they more than likely going to want treatment for their child, even if in the end is was not needed? How often are they open to the idea of just using ideas from the SLP at home and waiting for the year?
