My question is What about the data that you would receive from an evaluation using a test protocol? This would be useful and valid as evidence to show that the child may recover. Sometimes you could base your decision on the percentage of stuttering like dysfluencies (SLD's). If the SLD's are 3% or less it is more likely that the child will recover, and if 3% or more then they will most likely not recover.
