I am currently a grad student at West Virgina University and most of the research that we have studied states that 80% of stutterers will recover spontaneously, but the percentage drops down to 50% when you take into account someone who has been stuttering for 1 year. And basicly every year that they have stuttered drops the rate of recovery. So taking this information into account do you still think that the parents of preschoolers should wait a year, even if they could afford treatment and have the time to commit to it?
