When deciding to treat or not to treat, it may be appropriate (depending on family circumstances) to wait a year, but no matter what treatment should begin within the preschool years if no progress is seen. Is this correct?

Also, what are your thoughts on the two different programs(Multiprocess and Lidcombe)? As a general guideline, do you feel that an indirect approach should be initiated first, and if there are no signs of progress move to a more direct approach?
