My daughter, age 5.5, has been receiving therapy for awhile now. Her SLP says she thinks she has a very large vocabulary but poor motor skills and can't coordinate it all. Is this common? To me she seems to have word finding problems and is searching for the word while she does whole word repititions and initial sound prolongations (as well as trying to talk after all the breath has been released). Can word finding problems contribute and/or initiate stuttering?
