marija ! great question . I do think my patients are close to the end of the therapy or the treatment (according to my own point of view) when they are able at last to be so "centered" on or around their stuttering problem and they can at least open themselves to the other. The aim of therapy is "communication" and not perfect speech. may I advise you read a philosopher named Levinas. He did write about "facing" the other, talking to him in open face...and that's something you cannot do if you are self-centered on ANY kind of problem, stuttering included.

What is your definition for "healing" ? Yours Marie-Claude Monfrais-Pfauwadel
