Hi Tracy -- Well, that's a big question...A good bit of current research on source factors for disfluencies, and for the etiology of stuttering, examines the interactions between language development and motor development in young children, as well as the interaction between linguistic formulation and motoric execution in people's speech... I can't give a thorough overview of that here, but there may be other papers, either on this year's ISAD conference or others, that focus on that. There are a number of good references from recent journal articles that may be helpful as well...Drop me a note offline at jsyaruss@csd.pitt.edu and I'll send some stuff to you if you're interested. Thanks, Scott
