Thanks for reading our article. I have asked my students to read your comments and provide their own response. I looked at your paper and I think you'll find that your list of emotions is common to most people who are confronted by challenging situations. While stuttering might be unique to specific individuals, emotional reactions are universal. However, individual differences among people account for different emotional responses. You might like to read the writings of Albert Ellis, the psychologist who started Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. Ellis discusses rational and irrational thoughts and behaviors.
