I found your article interesting and the fact that 20 people have been educated about stuttering by your students is commendable. But how do you get to the remaining population of millions who have seen on nationaL TV Programs this year that stuttering can easily be stopped by wearing a device like the SpeechEasy Device. While I was the National Stuttering Project's Advocacy Chairman, I was proud of being labeled "the stuttering police." We were invited to share our viewpoint on national tv programs. Giving into the criticism of "the stuttering police," the National Stuttering Association has stopped any public demonstrations against misleading reports about stuttering. Now that NSA headquarters is moving to New York City, do you think they should consider demonstrations outside of the morning tv network news programs or other ways of getting their attention? Remember that ABC-TV's "Good Morning America" headquarterd in NYC just received an Emmy for its story on a device that stopped stuttering. The tv program refused to allow any words of caution from SFA, NSA or ASHA representatives.
