Hello, Howie For many years I have had my students do outside stuttering assignments. For undergraduates it involves going out in groups of two where they take turns with stuttering and observing. Graduate students they do this, and then they also use various fluency targets such as easy onsets and continuous phonation, and modification procedures such as cancellations and pullouts, etc.

My undergraduate course is offered in the fall, and students all have assignments to visit ISAD, and either make comments or ask questions regarding the papers. I suspect that some of my students will reply to you, and maybe interact with your students. Time will tell.

THANKS !! Thanks for the idea about making this an "educational experience" for the listeners. Having the students provide information about stuttering looks like a great idea. As it is, my students will be exposed to various suggestions about "what listeners whould know" from sources such as the SFA and NSA, but havin them come up with their own informational handout is a new twist.

I might steal your idea and use it in my classes. Thanks for sharing.

Steve Hood
