I am curious to learn that is the reason you did not try to educate the public because of your avoiding the situation, or were you not able to say anything to the people in the video store you were you were psuedostuttering to. I am in Dr. Schwartz's class and I was not quite sure why there was such an urgent need to educate the public and give them brochures we made. All I wanted to do was stutter and leave. Throughout the project I realized how important it is to make sure that the public learns more about people who stutter, if we don't tell them then who will? I am also a member of the group who psuedostuttered over the phone asking the local bar if they were hiring. Looking back, I wish we would have broached the subject with the manager, but we were too scared because she seemed a very inapproachable person. (It was purely selfish reasons why we did not talk with the manager; we also wanted to be able to go back to that place without any problems or questions arising.) Overall, it was a hard lesson to learn.
