Ms. Gil, I think all you have done for your son, and so many others, is remarkable. I am 34 and began stuttering around the age of 4. Although I have had many experiences with my speech (positive and negative), it wasn't until my wife became pregnant that I felt one of the biggest fears I ever faced: "What if my son stutters?" This question scared me so much, often to the point of tears. My son is almost four and is a great boy (as well as fluent). I think my fear is based on my parents never talking about my speech with me and letting me deal with it on my own or with a therapist. Knowing that you have done so much for Santiago will help him considerably when he is older.
