Elizabeth, Thanks a lot for your nice remarks about my paper. I think you are right when you say that a support group is a very important part of the therapy process, it gives you strenght and hope in the times you most need them. I discovered this at the NSA conference this year. Before, I felt completly isolated and felt nobody really understood what I was going through, most people think stuttering is not a real problem. The main strength of our support group is being at last among people that are going through the same situation and knowing that we will learn from each other new ways of dealing with this. The weakness is the fact that most of the parents have been getting the wrong information for a long while, so it will it take time untill they feel comfortable in talking openly about stuttering not only with their kids but with rest of the group too.
