Mr. Starkweather: I enjoyed your article this year on PTSD as I enjoyed your article last year too. It was informative & I have had some experience with PTSD so I found it of special interest. I'm always impressed with the work/effort that goes into these articles to bring awareness to the public and support to those who stutter.

I have experienced PTSD (not from stuttering) and your descriptions are pretty accurate. The pain from a dissociative state (panic attacks = shorter term & "passing of time" = longer term) cannot be understated; no matter what the cause. The good news is that there are so many good therapies (cognitive approach)meddications/ resources and a growing body of knowledge of PTSD/Panic Attacks, etc.. and people are able to live "normal" lives. I cannot imagine what life would was like just in the previous years where this type of help wasn't available or accepted.

I'm sure your article, once again, has brought insight into other PWS, students such as myself & all other interested parties. Write on :) -Student
