Thanks Barbara i think you are right. Using images that kids can related to is often one of the secrets of successful therapy. Sometimes i ask children to draw their stammer and thus create and use their own image. Recently one child drew his "speech monster" which illustrated to me in a way that his words could not - just how much he hated his stammer.
