Jennifer, As a graduate student in a fluency disorders class, I appreciate the suggestions you give Sheree.

From my perspective as a student, I think it's important for students to experience healthy self-esteem. A classmate of mine has struggled with self-esteem, but now has a much healthier view of herself. It's amazing to see the changes in her performance and attitude in both school and life.

One thing that has helped me with my self-esteem is introspection, as you suggest in your paper. Couldn't some introspection activities for the students be incorporated into a graduate course? After the students see who they are, what their strengths and weaknesses are, they could find ways of improving the weaknesses and capitalizing on the strengths.

Thank you for the wonderful article. It contains information I know I will be able to use with future clients and in my life.
