I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your article on self-esteem and stuttering. As a graduate student in Speech Pathology, I find it effective to read first-hand, personal views from those who stutter, since this has been an area that has always "stumped" me. In our graduate courses, I have learned that assuming a stutter is "shy" or "has low self-esteem" should never be done, even though this is often how others think of them. Your article shows a lot of personal feelings of self-esteem struggle. Would you say that the majority of stutterers have similar experiences to your own?
