Donald- WOW! I have been very behind in responding to comments to my paper and just got to reading your submission. I have to say, I was both touched and impressed with your insights. Your candid and honest sharing reflects both self-awareness and self-acceptance. It is impressive that you evidently have traveled this journey of self-exploration and reflection mostly on your own - that is, with little therapy. I would venture to say that your skills and knowledge as a pastor have helped in this area (beyond being "empathetic," as you state). Have you read any of Van Riper or Sheehan's work? They talk quite a bit about the emotions of stuttering - which, as you point out, are quite varied. Congratulations on your paper. You are an inspiration. Jennifer
