Kirsten, Thank you so much for your response to our paper. I am glad to hear that theatre was helpful to you as well. You post a great question. There are many, many activities we do to build group trust and make everyone feel comfortable. It would be too hard to go into great detail in this format. However, if you are interested in knowing the details of our work, feel free to email me at taro@ourtimetheatre.org or give me a call at 212-414-9696 and I can tell you the details of what we do in our workshops. In short, we make everyone feel important. We set up an environment where everyone is equal and we treat them with great respect. We care deeply about what is in their hearts and what they want to share with the world. We love them and support them in everything they do. We challange them to do things they didn't know they could do. We are always there for them in every situation. We are there to celebrate their victories and cry with them in their sadness. We also allow them to express whatever is going on in their lives through their art. Our Time is a place where they can be themselves and I think when you allow someone to really be themselves, they begin to trust everyone in the company. The result is amazing. These young people are the kindest people I know. When a new person joins the group, everyone goes out of their way to make that person feel like a part of the family right away. It only takes a few hours before they feel at home. I hope you will be able to come and see us perform sometime and see what we do in person. If you would like to be added to our mailing list, please email your snail-mail address to taro@ourtimetheatre.org Thanks again and I hope to meet you someday soon. Taro
