Hi John, Thank you for reading my article and taking the time to comment. Sadly, we are unable to turn the clock back. It's great that there is much more information available to children (and parents) nowadays, via the Internet and various stuttering associations (and, of course, events such the one in which we are currently participating). For the past 3 years, I have been conducting a 'crusade' to create greater public awareness about stuttering in the UK. This has included appearances on national televison, BBC radio, newspaper articles and an extensive programme of talks to community organisations. The point I am attempting to make is that I now openly reveal my stuttering history to the 'world' at large. When I look back at my decades of 'secrecy', I appreciate just how dramatically my attitude has changed. Kindest regards Alan
