Thank you for this informative article. I think being a clinician/counselor is equally as important as relaying information to parents. In fact, proper counseling or lack thereof may determine the effectiveness of treatment - if parents feel that they are not only given information, but listened to, regarded with respect, etc., they may be more likely to be an active participant in their child's therapy.
