I am a graduate student and am currently taking a class in stuttering. I found this article very valuable as it stressed the importance of counseling parents of children who stutter. As speech language pathologists, we must not only provide information to parents, but we must assume the role of a counselor too! The parents of a child who stutter play a big role in helping their child become more fluent. It is important for them to have a good attitude and to work with the clinician. Thanks for all the useful tips!
