Dear Lisa, You are right. It is important to know as much about counseling skills as possible. Many Universities now offer courses in Counseling. Many others include it in course offerings, such as the audiology, fluency or voice class. Students can also take advantage of workshops and/ or articles, such as this one. Thanks for responding.
