From what I have gathered, most SLPs are very good/well prepared to educate clients and/or their parents. Something that has been overlooked in our field is the counseling aspect of the clinician/client relationship. This is an extremely important part of our field and should not be overlooked. I feel fortunate to be in a graduate program that offers a class specifically on counseling issues. Thank you for highlighting some of the aspects of counseling.
