Thank you Amanda, We all had faith that, once the structural support was in place, the kids would give us great material to work with. It's both tricky and lots of fun to guide children in their thinking. One tricky part is making sure to recognize everyone's input without judgement, which is what brainstorming is about. Then, another tricky part is the process of making choices about which ideas to leave in and which to set aside to create a final product on time - while at the same time avoid hurting anyone's feelings. Amanda Phillips, Marybeth and I gave them plenty of positive coaching every step of the way. I hope you get a chance to try it out for yourself.
