Thank you for giving spacific examples of how to be an active listener. I think everybody needs to be reminded of listening techniques. I did not realize before how important listening is in this career field. It is much more than diagnosing speech problems. Do you suggest these listening skills to the parents you meet with as well, or do you feel it is not your place to tell them how to communicate?
