Dan, Thanks for the great comments. It certainly makes you think. Although I have not noticed differences b/w male and female listeners, it would not surprise me if differences existed. Given that boys are made of Snips and snails and girls are made of sugar and spice. These differences (if they exist) most likely stem from what we reward in boys and girls. People comment that my young son is so athletic, strong and coordinated while my daughter is frilly, beautiful and smart. Boys are not typically rewarded for being sensitive, emotional and sweet. This further reinforces the need to tune in to what children are saying/feeling. Listening is a great way to do that. Joe D.
