I enjoyed this paper and was able to relate it to my current practice. I can think of several students for whom listening/trust is a key ingredient in the progress that is made with their treatment. The child may not express in words the effect that you have with them but when you as their SLP are able to provide a comfort zone for them you can help to expand that zone into their day outside the speechroom.
