Amanda....Thanks so much for your reading of the article and your comments. All children deserve the right to be listened to....CWS want to be listened to for what they are saying, not how they are saying it. It's ok to Stutter...there is no "but". CWS/TWS are not ignorant...it has been my experience with the members of FRIENDS and NSA that CWS/TWS definitely know when the "It's OK to Stutter But..." message is being sent. Most CWS/TWS will not tell you they recognize it out of respect or fear of the listener....I try to make sure the kids I am honored to work with learn to question authority when the emphasis is placed on How something they say is said VS What their message is... Great to have you involved in the conference! Keep up the process of learning....Our profession will profit from having people like you in it!
