Although I will not totally dismiss the possibility of improvisation aiding in therapy, I find it to be skeptible. As a stutterer, I oftentimes find that if I don't have something prepared (whether written or in mind), I will stutter when trying to present it. However, when you presented the intuition issue and not thinking about it, that was a valid and clarifying point. This state of mind is difficult to attain however. In regards to the theatre sessions, are they held only with stutterers? Is there and audience present? I would really like to see a case study (or studies) on the carryover of the key terms. How effective are these elements outside of the theatre?
