Hi, Alan! Thank you for your very thoughtful comments. I think that if I could have somehow received my own letter on my 16th birthday, it would have been an extraordinary source of hope and encouragement. (I'm not sure I would have believed it was truly from my future self, but I'm sure I could have benefited immensely from its message.) I hope, Alan, that we will have the chance to meet each other at a stuttering event before too many more years have passed!
