First of all, thank you for sharing your paper. I am a graduate student in speech-langauge pathology. In my coursework, I have learned a great deal about working with parents. However, I found it extremely helpful to hear a parents point-of-view. Your paper is a great reminder that we need to take the time and really work with the parents rather than "going through the motions" of therapy.
