That's the book I'm working on! :-) As a therapist if you could just encourage them to learn all they can about the big picture (history of stuttering, history of treatment, different philosophies and approaches, etc...) and facilitate that learning by having information available to them -- maybe even giving them goals along with their child (you read two chapters, or watch one video, etc...) and then incorporate time into the therapy schedule to talk with them about what they are learning and how it applies to their child and situation. No doubt some parents need to have their hands held a little more than others -- but it seems the least we can do for these kids! Thanks so much for your consideration and best of luck to you!
